"light.sketch_04.03.20" is a solo improvisational movement and video creation exploration; experimenting both with light and length of time to create. By limiting the process to only 2 hours, this encouraged honesty in improvising and enforced quick decision making on all fronts of the work.

BREEANN BIRR DE OLIVEIRA

Breeann Birr de Oliveira is a Detroit-based mover and creator who prioritizes body-positive experiences and chance explorations. She graduated from Wayne State University with a B.S. in Dance and minor in Art History.

Breeann works as a freelancer under the name BMBO Creations where she specializes in photography, graphic design, and videography for performing artists. In addition to her freelance work she has had the pleasure and privilege of working with a number of exciting organizations such as Complexions Detroit Summer Intensive, ConteXture Dance Detroit, Take Root, Screen Dance International, Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts, and so many more. She is currently part of Collective Sweat Detroit's organizing team and developing her podcast, Dance Lives in Detroit..

Her most recent ongoing project is a collaboration with ConteXture Dance Detroit’s Tracy Halloran and Jillian Hopper on a Documentary exploring embodied movement practices as a form of community healing in the wake of COVID-19.
